In this article, I am going to cover how to use AgilePoint NX to design your system and user governance applications.

User provisioning and governance applications gives a single point of maintenance to manage user access to IT applications. Companies need these governance programs to maintain organized records of user information such as personal information, account histories, access right audits, or application credentials.

System and user governance might seem a simple topic at a very high level but can be quite involved specially in a regulated industry where each modification needs to be audited and tracked and governance apps built with AgilePoint NX can provide you that peace of mind by designing governance apps which are tailored as per your needs with a simple drag and drop. An important goal of access governance is to reduce the cost and effort that’s involved in overseeing and enforcing access policies and management procedures and any kind of automation in setting up virtual teams can help save a decent amount of effort and reduce risk.

The scenario I picked for today’s demo is about an Idea Management application where based on a proposed idea within an org, a dynamic virtual team has to be put in place once idea is approved. This team needs to have a SharePoint site created to save idea related information like documents as well as create a collaboration channel for virtual team’s members to collaborate on using social channels like Yammer, Salesforce Chatter, Skype groups, Microsoft Teams, Slack etc. For today’s demo I am going to use Slack as a choice of collaboration platform but it could very well have been other social channels supported by AgilePoint.
