In our series of announcements for AgilePoint NX v8.0, the next one I am going to cover is the new Power Automate connector for AgilePoint NX which will be released with AgilePoint NX v8.0. In addition to this there will also be an AgilePoint NX connector in Power Automate and Logic Apps for facilitating two way communication which will be made available through Microsoft AppSource.

AgilePoint in past has been already working with Power Automate where an AgilePoint process could be kicked off from Microsoft Power Automate. I had covered this in one of the previous blog posts on this topic which also covered how the two products complement each other nicely.

With this release, we take this up a notch higher and now it facilitates a two way communication between AgilePoint NX and Microsoft Power Automate and Logic Apps and would cover

1. Triggering a flow in Power Automate from AgilePoint NX process
2. Power Automate flow or Logic Apps can trigger a new AgilePoint process or call some of AgilePoint NX APIs as part of flow execution.

Moreover, with this new connector, you get a more native support for AgilePoint NX within the Power Automate flow designer.

The connector benefits customers in two distinct ways:

• AgilePoint NX customers can utilize Microsoft Power Automate’s large ecosystem of connectors and triggers to enable many cloud events (including Internet of Things and line of business events) to interact with AgilePoint without code.
• AgilePoint NX and Microsoft Power Automate users can leverage the capability of each platform to add even more value to their process solutions.

The new connector, adds more process automation functionality for Microsoft Power Automate customers who already get a lot of connector OOTB backed by robust Microsoft infrastructure and now it can be coupled with AgilePoint’s nearly two-decades of enterprise process automation experience and together this partnership presents a massive opportunity for customers.

At the time of recording, this connector is still in beta phase hence it appears as a custom connector in the Power Automate UI. In the coming weeks, the AgilePoint connector will be published as a pre-built asset and available in the Microsoft AppSource gallery for Microsoft Power Automate and Logic Apps.

With this feature, now Microsoft RPA can be easily consumed from AgilePoint NX process.
