In this article, we are going to look at the Microsoft Teams notification feature.

Microsoft Teams is one of the most popular enterprise collaboration suite today. Statically speaking, Microsoft announced that in April 2021, Teams was used by over 145 million enterprise users worldwide.

Back in 2017, Microsoft announced that it would slowly phase out Skype for Business in favor of its enterprise collaboration suite i.e. Microsoft Teams. In alignment with Microsoft’s roadmap, I am happy to announce that, starting with AgilePoint NX v8.0 Software Update 1, Teams notification will replace Skype of Business notification system.

As you know, the AgilePoint process supports notifications when any task event occurs. The events include task assignment, task reassigned, task completed, task overdue and task cancelled. The other mechanism of supported notifications includes:

1. Email
2. Salesforce Chatter
3. Microsoft Yammer
4. SMS

Till release AgilePoint NX v8.0, AgilePoint supported Skype for Business in on-premise and private cloud modes of deployment. Now it is replaced by Microsoft Teams notification system which is available in all AgilePoint NX environments.
