As part of the series of product updates on AgilePoint NX v8.0 Software Update 2 release, the next one I would like to share is about the Okta Connector. The following process activities have been added

  • Add Group

  • Add User To Group
  • Delete Group
  • Delete User
  • Get Groups
  • Get Group Members
  • Get User
  • Get Users
  • Remove User From Group
  • Set Password
  • Update Group
  • Update User

Okta is an identity and access management company. It provides cloud software that helps companies manage and secure user authentication for their applications, and from a developers perspective, it helps build identity controls into applications, website web services and devices.

Please note that AgilePoint NX platform already supported Okta integration as part of the product Single Sing-On. The new feature is a connector for the process layer where a business process designed in AgilePoint can now interact with Okta to perform user and group management operations which could come in very handy for managing the IT operations of your company specially for scenarios such as new hire on-boarding, offboarding, self-service profile updates and password reset etc.

This video covers end to end scenario for how to configure business process to perform supported Okta operations which includes basic concepts like activity configuration, runtime execution etc.

Note: Please note that this video is recorded while this feature is in beta version. Some of the labels and icons might change by the time it goes GA but the general concept of configuring these activities would remains the same.
